Summer Property Taxes
Summer property tax bills are mailed beginning July 1 each year. Payments may be made without penalty from July 1 through September 14. Any payments received after September 14 will incur a penalty of 1% per month through February 28. Property owners are encouraged to submit payment before the due date to avoid additional charges.
Bills Mailed: Beginning July 1
Due Without Penalty: July 1 – September 14
Penalty: 1% per month after September 14 through February 28
Winter Property Taxes
Winter property tax bills are mailed beginning December 1 each year. Payments may be made without penalty from December 1 through February 28. After February 28, any unpaid taxes are transferred to Van Buren County for further collection in accordance with state regulations.
