The Van Buren County Sheriff Department provides law enforcement and police protection services to Hartford Township and surrounding communities within Van Buren County.
The department is responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing state and local laws, responding to emergency and non-emergency incidents, and supporting community-based policing initiatives.
In 2014, a dedicated Deputy was assigned to patrol Hartford Township on a full-time basis, strengthening local law enforcement presence and improving response times within the Township.
